ESPN :: EYE TEST PROJECT
One of the greatest joys in this era of huge HD TVs is that of watching sports. But what if your eyes weren't up to the task? The Eye Test Project promotes the final round of the UEFA Champions League, which the channel broadcasts more thoroughly than any other. A bus equipped with an ophthalmologist performed tests for myopia, contrast detection and colourblindness. Those tests were performed specifically for sports fans: instead of the “patient” identifying letters and numbers, he had to point out players and teams correctly. The results were surprising. After having been through ESPN Eye Test, some men with glaucoma and cataract problems were diagnosed in time and could be forwarded on to complete treatment. The test became so popular that we decided to extend them online. Creating digital bus stops and a special website for the fans to get their eyes tested.
