MICROSOFT :: ANTHEM FOR ALL
With assistive technology, wounded veterans compose an anthem of hope.
What started out as a B2B brief became a new way for more injured veterans to take part in the Invictus Games. But not through playing sports. Through playing music.
Anthem for All is a new, truly inclusive anthem made by injured service personnel using accessible technology. It was played at every medal ceremony of the 2022 Games at The Hague.

Case Study
Emma Lumb suffered a severe neck injury in Iraq as a lance corporal in the British Army. She was paralyzed from the neck down.
Using assistive technology and eye-tracking software, Emma was able to play the tubular bells.
One of the things that the war stole from Hinett was his ability to play guitar.
He first started learning the instrument as a teenager, but with extensive damage to his hands he can no longer play.
Hinett played the guitar for the first time since his injury. He cannot pluck strings, but he can use the Adaptive Controller.
The inclusive Invictus Games anthem, created by Emma, Hinett, and other wounded veterans, was played during each medal ceremony. The games were broadcast to over 20 countries.
